
Dr. Melcer is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Public Health. He received postdoctoral training in Periodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and holds a M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health. He serves on the faculty of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine specializing in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and participates in postdoctoral teaching at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. During his 30 years of practice, he has conducted periodontal research at the Forsyth Dental Center, School of Public Health at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Melcer’s innovative practice philosophy incorporates non-surgical and surgical treatment. He has been associated with Charles River Dental Associates since its inception.
Outside of the office, he enjoys travel, golf, antique rugs, and walks with his wife and Scottish terrier.
